Kilmak Kilox Cleaning pickling gel for Stainless Steels

The Pickling pastes remove annealing colours, welding scale and corrosionproducts in the area of welding andheat affected zones of stainless steelmaterials.

Application and Dosage

Remove contamination, grease andoil from the surface with acidiccleaners (FR-D) or alkaline degreasers(AR) before pickling. Stir picklingpaste thoroughly before use. Applyevenly with a suitable brush.

Reaction Times:at approx. 25 - 30ºC about 10 min.material: 1.4301 (304) cold rolled.Welding technique: MIG {TIG}Consumption:1 kg per 150  250 linear metre

Finally neutralise with water.Recommendation:Use high pressure water jet

Kilmak Kilox Pickling

The Pickling sprays removes annealingcolours, welding scale and corrosionproducts, traces of oil and grease fromstainless steel surfaces.

  • New recipes considerably prolongthe moist phase so that thepickling spray remain effective
  • During the controlled picklingprocess there is little drying.
  • At the same time the materialsurfaces are brightened and show abrilliant optical effect.
  • The indicator achieves: 
  1. controllable spraying
  2. reduction of the emission ofpoisonous and nitrous gases
  3. cleaning of slightly greasysurfaces
  4. control of reaction (decolorization)

Application and Dosage:

  • Clean heavily contaminated andgreasy/oily surfaces before pickling
  • Mix the pickling spray before useuntil it is homogenous.
  • Add the indicator according toproducer's instructions before useand stir it in carefully.
  • Apply the product with the help ofspraying technology (pressurised airsystem, hand spray).
  • Rinse thoroughly with a high pressurewater jet after pickling to removeall trace material.
